Shipping Methods/Information

On OhGoody, certain information has to be provided about products prior to those products being able to ship to your customers.

Required Shipping Information

To provide required shipping information, follow these steps:

  1. First, navigate to your storefront products by clicking the tab labeled "Products" in the upper left corner of your screen. This will pull up a menu of all your products that are listed on OhGoody.
  2. Next, click on the tab labeled "Shipping Properties."
  3. This tab will bring up a menu that shows multiple fields, including the weight of the product, the number of that product that go into an individual box, as well as the dimensions of the box the product ships in and applicable shipping carriers. 

To set one shipping method for a particular product, follow these steps:

  1. Input the weight of the product (in pounds) into the field labeled "Weight".
  2. Input the number of items in a box according to how you ship your product.
  3. Input the dimensions of the box (in inches) in their appropriate field. 
  4. Choose the carrier you wish to use a specific box for (if listed). Uncheck the other carriers.
    1. For example, if you wish to only ship a product in a USPS medium priority box, select USPS and de-select the other carriers.
  5. Select the specific shipping method you wish to use for that product with the corresponding carrier from the selection box.

Now, your product is ready to ship! If you cannot find a shipping method that you would like to use for that product, you can add new shipping methods from your vendor storefront. Simply follow the steps below.

Adding Shipping Methods

You can also add specific shipping methods to suit the needs of your products. The default shipping methods on OhGoody are:

  • USPS Priority Mail
  • FedEx Ground
  • UPS Ground
  • DHL Express

To create a different shipping method, simply follow these steps:

  1. First, click on the "Settings" tab on the dashboard of your vendor portal.
  2. Then, click on "Shipping Methods" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Here, you can see the default shipping methods on OhGoody. Click on the "Plus" sign to add a new shipping method for your storefront. 
  4. Add a new shipping method to your store by selecting the carrier and rate calculation method. 
  5. Name the shipping method and click the "Create" button.
  6. Now, you can specify information about the shipping method such as delivery time, shipping time, rates, and test calculations.
